Our mission is to support South Shore families facing unexpected, short-term challenges—the kinds of hardships that can suddenly disrupt daily life. When an unforeseen event makes it impossible to cover the electric bill, or when buying winter jackets for the kids feels out of reach - that’s where we come in. Whether it’s through a Direct Assist or a Thoughtful Gesture, we’re here to provide support with dignity, empathy, and care.
Events + Outreach
Our events are more than just gatherings - they’re catalysts for connection, generosity, and meaningful impact. One of our signature events, The Merry Market, brings the spirit of the holidays to life through a celebration of small businesses and community giving. This annual marketplace blends festive cheer with purpose, creating a space where local vendors thrive and every purchase supports a greater mission of giving back.

THOUGHTFUL GESTURE
This is for the person watching a loved one struggling and wanting them to feel the love and support not only from them but from the entire community. Depending on the nature of the adversity, AP2R will curate a special gift to remind the recipient that they are not alone. Our team will learn about the person or family experiencing challenges and collaborate with local businesses to create something both beautiful and practical. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and support their neighbors, and it has been very well received in the past.
DIRECT ASSIST
This is for those of us who face unexpected hardships and challenging times. Whether it’s due to job loss, mental or physical health struggles, the loss of a loved one, or other difficult circumstances, making ends meet—such as paying utility bills or buying groceries—can become nearly impossible. That's where our team steps in to help. You can submit an intake form for a Direct Assist either for yourself or on behalf of a friend or family member in need. In this effort, AP2R will leverage our network to share resources, connect you with other nonprofits, or provide monetary assistance. There is no shame in needing help from time to time, and AP2R can be that supportive safety net for you.
