our team
A Place to Rise seeks to fill a gap in the non-profit sector that caters to the immediate needs of individuals and families, during small and large life circumstances where resources, community and monetary aid can provide support and connection in local South Shore areas.
We have a team of kind, dedicated Executive Board Members and Team Members, that will be a village in your time of need.

our mission is simple
To help families rise again with dignity, hope, and support from their community.

the heart of ap2r
At A Place to Rise (AP2R), we’ve learned through shared experience that many circumstances within our local communities often slip through the cracks. The limitations of existing systems leave unseen needs—needs that too often go unmet.
It might be a family unable to afford extracurricular activities for their children, a single parent facing financial hardship during the holidays, or an elder experiencing isolation and loneliness.
AP2R creates meaningful paths of support, connecting our community with neighbors in need through compassion, collaboration, and collective action.
If you are in need or someone you love is, fill out the Intake Form
(to the best of your ability) and we will do our best to help.
